Our knitting group was given several large plastic sacks of acrylic, worsted weight yarn, that we decided to knit into lap robes for our local nursing homes. I designed the Sunshine Nursing Home Lap Robe for this project. The colors are cheerful and the acrylic yarn is machine washable. The pattern looks more complicated than it is. The four rows are easy to memorize and the strips work up fast.
Size: 24 ˝ inches by 36 inches
Materials: Worsted weight yarn: 6 ounces light orange and 8 ounces yellow, #10 U.S. (6mm) needles, cable needle, large eye sewing needle
