Materials: 1 ounce of worsted weight yarn
# 7 US knitting needles (or size to obtain gauge), 2 markers, yarn needle
Gauge: 5 sts and 7 rows equals 1 inch in stockinette stitch pattern
Size: 6 ½ inch square
Note: This is made in 2 pieces.
Make 2: CO 30 sts.
Row 1: *k1, p1, rep from * across row
Row 2: *p1, k1, rep from * across row
Rep Rows 1 and 2 three more times
Row 9: (RS) (k1, p1) three times, place marker on needle, k18, place marker on needle, (k1, p1) three times.
Row 10: (p1, k1) three times, slip marker, p 18, slip marker, (p1, k1) three times.
Repeat rows 9 and 10 twelve more times. Remove markers
Row 35: Same as Row 1
Row 36: Same as Row 2
Rep rows 35 and 36 three more times
BO in pattern
Sew sides together. Weave in ends.
