Garter Stitch Hat

Size Ladies Medium (20 inch diameter)

 

Materials:

Yarn – 3 oz. worsted weight yarn (I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease, color Cranberry #138) # 7 knitting needles (or size to obtain gauge), yarn needle

 

Gauge: 5 sts, 10 rows = 1 inch

 

CO 100 sts. Work in Garter Stitch for 8 inches (80 rows).

Decrease for top

Row 1: *k3, k2tog, rep from *

Row 2: k

Row 3: *k2, k2tog, k2tog, rep from *

Row 4: k

Row 5: *k1, k2tog, k2tog, rep from *

Row 6:k

Row 7: *k2tog, k2tog, rep from *

Row 8: *k2tog, k2tog, rep from *

 

Cut yarn and draw through stitches on needle. Pull tight. Sew side seam. Weave in ends.
