(Make 4 or as many as needed to make a set)

 

Materials: #6 US needles, 2 markers, large eye sewing needle

Yarn: Worsted weight yarn – 3.5 ounces green, 3 ounces light blue, small amounts of red and yellow for four covers,

 

Gauge: 19 sts, 27 rows = 4 inches

Patterns:

MC: Make Bobble – p3, turn work and k3, turn and CDD

 

Cuff

With green, CO 34 sts

Row 1: (WS) *p2, k2, rep from * to last 2 sts, p2

Row 2: *k2, p2, rep from * to last 2 sts, k2

Rep Rows 1 and 2 for 8 inches or desired length, ending with Row 1

 

Flower Border

Row 1: (RS) Knit, decreasing 1 st in the first st

Row 2: K5, *k3 wrapping yarn 3 times for each st, k7, rep from * to last 5 sts, k5, cut yarn

Attach Blue yarn

Row 3: K1, *sl wyib, k3, sl 3 wyib dropping extra wraps, k3, rep from * to last 2 sts, sl 1 wyib, k1

Row 4: P1, *sl 1 wyif, p1, k1, p1, sl 3 wyif, p1, k1, p1, rep from * to last 2 sts, sl 1 wyif , p1

Row 5: (p1, k1) 2 times, p1,*sl 3 wyib, (p1, k1) 3 times, p1,  rep from * to last 8 sts, sl 3 wyib, (p1, k1) 2 times, p1.

Row 6: (p1, k1) 2 times, p1 * sl 3 wyif, (p1, k1) 3 times,  p1, rep from * to last 8 sts, sl 3 wyif, (k1, p1) 2 times, p1

Row 7: p 1, k1, p1, *sl 2 wyib, drop next st off needle to front of work, sl the 2 slipped sts back to left needle, pick up dropped st and knit it, k3, drop next st off needle to front of work, k2, pick up dropped st and knit it, work seed st for 3 sts, rep from *. Drop blue yarn

Row 8: With yellow yarn, p1, sl 2 wyif, (p1, k1, p1) in next st, sl 2 wyif, with red yarn (p1, k1, p1) in next st, sl 2 wyif, with  yellow yarn (p1, k1, p1) in next st, sl 3 wyif, with red yarn (p1, k1, p1) in next st, sl 2 wyif, with yellow yarn (p1, k1, p1) in next st, sl 2 wyif, with red yarn (p1, k1, p1) in next st, sl 3 wyif, with yellow yarn (p1, k1, p1) in next st, sl 2 wyif, with red yarn (p1, k1, p1) in next st, sl 2, with yellow yarn (p1, k1, p1) in next st, sl 2 wyif, p1

Row 9: With yellow yarn k1, sl 2 wyib, MB in next 3 sts, sl 2 wyib, with red yarn MB in next 3 sts, sl 2 wyib, with yellow yarn MB in next 3 sts, sl 3 wyib, with red yarn MB in next 3 sts, sl 2 wyib, with yellow yarn MB in next 3 sts, sl 2 wyib, with red yarn MB in next 3 sts, sl 3 wyib, with yellow yarn MB in next 3 sts, sl 2 wyib, with red yarn MB in next 3 sts, sl 2 wyib, with yellow yarn MB in next 3 sts, sl 2 wyib, k1. Cut red and yellow yarns.

Row 10: With blue yarn and beginning with a purl st, work seed st across.

 

Body

Row 1: (RS) Bar inc in first st, work seed st across row

Work seed st for 1 inch (7 additional rows)

Row 8: work seed 11 sts, pm, work 12 sts, pm, work to end of row

Row 9: work seed st for 11 sts, sl marker, k 12, sl marker, seed st to end

Row 10: Seed st for 11 sts, sl marker, p12, sl marker, seed st to end

Rep rows 9 and 10 for 18 rows

Remove markers and work 6 rows of seed st

 

Dec for top

Row 1: (rs) *k1, p1, k1, CDD, rep from * to last 4 sts, k1, p1, k1, p1 (24 sts)

Row 2: *p1, k1, rep from *

Row 3: k1, *p1, CDD, rep from * to last 3 sts, p1, k1, p1 (14 sts)

Row 4: p1, k1, p to last st, k1

Row 5: p1, *CDD, k1, rep from * to last st, p1 (8sts)

 

Cut yarn and draw yarn through remaining sts.

Using duplicate stitch, stitch numbers into the centers of the st st areas of body

Sew seam and weave in ends
