Feather Lace Baby Sweater

This pattern matches my Feather Hat and Bootie patterns.
Feather Lace pattern is adapted from Knitting on the Edge by Nicky Epstein page 87
Size: Newborn
Materials: #5 U.S. (3.75.mm) needles, 1 ounce Fingering weight yarn, 30 inches of ¼ inch ribbon, 3 stitch holders, 4 stitch markers, large eye sewing needle
The example was made with pink acrylic Bernat Baby yarn
Gauge in st st: 7 sts, 9 rows = 1 inch
Note: The sweater is made in one piece to the armholes
CO 105 sts
Bottom Border
Rows 1 and 3: (WS)k3, purl to last 3 sts, k3
Row 2: k4, *yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, rep from * to last 2 sts, k2
Row 4: k3, *yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, rep from * to last 3 sts, k3
Work pattern for 13 rows
Body
Row 1: (RS) k4, yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, (right border established) knit to last 11 sts, yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k3 (left border established)
Row 2 and 4: k3, purl to last 3 sts, k3
Row 3: k3, yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, knit to last 12 sts, yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k 4
Rep rows 1-4 for 3 inches or desired length to under arms ending with Row 3
BO for Armholes: (WS) k3, p22, BO 4, p47, BO 4, p22, k3
Cut yarn and slip remaining 97 sts to st holder
Sleeves (make 2)
CO 33 sts
Rows 1 and 3: (WS) purl
Row 2: k4, *yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, rep from * to last 2 st,s k2
Row 4: k3, *yo, k2, ssk, k2tog, k2, yo, k1, rep from * to last 3 sts, k3
Work pattern for 12 rows
Inc Row: Inc 7 sts across row (40 sts)
Work in st st for 4.75 inches or desired length
BO 2 sts at beg of next 2 rows. Cut yarn and slip sts to holder
Yoke
Slip 25 Body sts to needle, pm, slip 36 Sleeve sts to needle, pm, slip next 47 Body sts to needle, pm, slip 36 Sleeve sts to needle, pm, slip remaining 25 Body sts to needle.
Row 1: With RS facing, join yarn. Keeping left and right side borders in pattern, work 23 sts (right front), k2tog, sm, ssk, k 32 sts (sleeve), k2tog, sm, ssk, k 43 sts (back), k2tog, sm, ssk, k32 (sleeve), k2tog, sm, ssk, work 23 sts (left front). (161 sts)
Row 2: Slipping markers, k3, p to last 3 sts, k3
Repeat rows 1 and 2, decreasing 1 st before and after each marker on every RS row until there are 73sts. Rep row 2 once more. Remove markers.
Dec for neck
Row 1: (RS) k3, *k2tog, k1, rep from * to last 4 sts, k4 (51 sts)
Row 2: k3, p to last 3 sts, k3
Eyelet Row
K3, *yo, k2tog, rep from * to last 4 sts, yo, k4
Knit 2 rows, BO.
Sew sleeve seams. Weave in ends. Weave ribbon through eyelet holes.
